Team Banzai partners with Club Touareg to open-source its off-roading requirements
Jun 20, 2005 - Team Banzai has partnered with Club Touareg to develop the ultimate off-roading Touareg designed by an open-source community. Leveraging the collective experience and expertise of Club Touareg's membership, Team Banzai's computer-driven, but otherwise stock production 2004 V6 Touareg, nicknamed 'Dora, the self-driving Touareg' will be configured by the Club Touareg community and outfitted by Team Banzai to maximize her off-roading capabilities as she attempts to win $2 million in the DARPA Grand Challenge race for autonomous ground vehicles.
