Team Banzai elects to build the world's first self-driving Touareg

Sep 29, 2004 - Team Banzai has selected and taken delivery of a brand new 2004 Touareg as its Grand Challenge race vehicle. This stock VW Touareg will be outfitted with computer controlled actuators and sensors to enable it to drive 175 miles over desert terrain without any human assistance. "No human driver. No remote control."
